• Previously, MD at the Private Equity Group of the Blackstone Group

• 17 years of experience in the private equity industry with a focus on direct private equity and debt investments. Key member of deal teams that profitably invested $2.4 bn of cash equity (with an aggregate transaction value of over $20 bn) in private equity and distressed debt investments

• Walid was also Senior Advisor to RDIF, where he has been involved in a number of their completed investments and strategic joint ventures

​

• Walid served on the boards of 5 portfolio investments and worked at Blackstone’s London, New York and Hong Kong offices 

​

• Prior to joining Blackstone, Walid worked at Bear Stearns’ M&A group in New York between 1994 and 1996

​

• Walid received his B.A. from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, in 1994 with a dual major in Economics and Computer Science
